Taraki - Mental Health in Punjabi Communities

Taraki work with Punjabi communities to improve access to mental health awareness, education, social supports, and research through culturally safe activities to benefit individual and community-level care.

Taraki's mission

Taraki’s work streams are channelled through their projects which include:

  • Co-developing and deploying projects which improve mental health awareness within Punjabi communities through dialogue and community engagement. 

  • Implementing educational programming to transition basic awareness to an increased knowledge and skill-set around mental health and illness. 

  • Facilitating and sustaining social support networks, where individuals can learn, share, and develop relationships founded in empathy and compassion.

  • Encouraging and enabling an effective mental health research landscape within Punjabi communities as active research participants and coordinators.

The Delicate Mind

Currently The Delicate Mind delivers mental health and mental strength workshops across the U.K, deliver open access lectures and talks, create public policy research, carry out social advocacy, aid with public health oversight and deliver community mental health services.

Their mission focus is to create a more educated, inclusive and fairer society and to platform and empower the communities that they serve.
