Sickle Cell & Thalassemia
The Sickle Cell and Thalassaemia Centre offers a specialist nursing service to children and adults who have been diagnosed with a major Haemoglobinopathy condition or undergoing screening.
The team is multi-disciplinary and consists of specialist nurses, counsellors. The service accepts patients from birth throughout life or any members of the public who self-refer. In addition the team is part of the NHS England screening program there will be able to test anyone willing to know their genotype and partner testing during pregnancy.
